Patent Attorneys

Attorneys-at-Law

At our firm, patent attorneys and attorneys-at-law work together in an international team, managing and meeting the needs of our clients from across the globe. In this stimulating environment, we offer you, as an attorney-at-law, a richly varied and multifaceted role – from offering expert legal advice in aspects of intellectual property law to representing clients in proceedings before national and European courts.

Patent Administrator

We are looking for someone with your specialist experience in the patent system to manage administrative tasks relating to technical IP rights at various stages from filing to grant. This includes monitoring deadlines, gathering required documents and information, and liaising with patent offices and colleagues around the world.

Trainee Patent Attorney

As an international law firm with around 500 employees in 8 different office locations throughout Europe, we can provide you with excellent training opportunities. Whether you wish to become a national patent attorney or a European patent attorney, we offer training in a variety of specialist fields.

Legal Internship

Looking to undertake a legal internship having passed your first state exam? Our international firm can provide you with an excellent springboard for your career. At HOFFMANN EITLE, legal trainees gain in-depth insight into the strategic application of trademark, design and competition law as well as patent litigation and licensing law in disputes before national and European courts.

Trainee Patent Paralegal

On the path to becoming a patent paralegal, you can expect structured and practical training in an international team where you will become acquainted with the most important legal provisions in the field of intellectual property and will learn how to provide efficient organisational support to patent attorneys.

Foreign Language Correspondent

As a foreign language correspondent, you would predominantly be responsible for correspondence in English and German, file management, the monitoring and striking of deadlines, and the organisation of the secretarial tasks of a patent attorney. In this richly varied and multifaceted role within an international team, you will work a 39-hour week with flexitime.

IT Support

Our IT team ensures the smooth-running of our technical systems used by more than 450 employees in 8 international offices, and provides first and second level support. In addition to having the necessary technical skill, you must also be able to communicate well in both German and English. Our modern hardware and software infrastructure make this a highly varied and interesting role.
