Head of Operations (f/m/d)
We are a dynamically-expanding, internationally-renowned commercial law firm with an entrepreneurial mindset, located in Düsseldorf, with more than 20 attorneys-at-law and a strong team consisting of more than 10 non-attorney staff.
We are looking for an entrepreneurially-minded personality for the structural and digital support of our growth, and for the further professionalisation of our structures, as
Head of Operations (f/m/d)
full-time or part-time, who will actively assist the law firms operational leadership and report directly to the partners.
Your role: configuring rather than administering
As Head of Operations, you are the operational interface between the fee earners who form the core business, the back office, and the business-management navigation of the law firm. You will actively contribute to the configuration of the law firms future and advance its further development from an entrepreneurial perspective.
- Operational excellence & processes: you will analyse, standardise and optimise our internal processes at the law firm.
- Legal-tech & digitalisation: you will promote the digital transformation, evaluate software and AI solutions, and ensure their efficient usage in the team.
- Controlling: you will assist the partners in the operational controlling of financial and performance indicators.
- HR: you will render assistance in connection with HR issues and steer recruiting as well as the onboarding of attorneys-at-law and non-attorney employees.
- Marketing: you will assume responsibility for marketing as well as the law firms digital and analogue corporate identity.
Your profile: strategic, IT-proficient and assertive
- Education: successfully-concluded degree course (economic sciences or similar) or an equivalent education/qualifications with a strong management focus.
- Experience: several years professional experience in law-firm management or at a professional service firm (management consultancy, auditing, tax advice).
- Tech-mindset: profound understanding of law-firm management software, interest in legal technology, and a high affinity for digital solutions and automation.
- Personal: confident, authoritative demeanour, paired with empathy, modern leadership abilities; proactive, hands-on mentality and project-management skills; curiosity and enthusiasm.
