The Opportunity

As a Business and Technical Architect in our Canadian Banking Technology Consulting team within the Platforms group, you will play a dual leadership role—driving both technical architecture strategy and large-scale transformation delivery for leading financial institutions.

You will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, shaping and overseeing complex technology transformations across modernization, data platforms, cloud migration, and core banking systems. You will define architectural vision, ensure solution integrity, and lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable, secure, and future-ready platforms.

Your Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Delivery

Lead end-to-end delivery of large-scale banking technology programs, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical architecture

Oversee multiple workstreams and engagements, ensuring quality, risk management, and financial performance

Act as the technical escalation point and ensure resolution of complex architectural and delivery challenges

Architecture & Solution Design

Define and own enterprise and solution architecture for core banking transformation, data platforms, and cloud ecosystems

Lead the design of scalable, secure, and resilient architectures, including integration, data, and application layers

Establish architecture governance, standards, and best practices across engagements

Evaluate and select technologies, platforms, and vendors (e.g., Temenos, Finacle, Thought Machine) based on client needs

Client Advisory

Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, providing strategic guidance on technology transformation and architecture decisions

Translate business needs into technical roadmaps and target state architectures

Lead architecture workshops, design sessions, and executive presentations

Business Development & Practice Growth

Support and lead solutioning, proposals, and technical pursuits, contributing to EYs go-to-market strategy

Identify and develop new offerings in banking technology, cloud, and data transformation

Contribute to thought leadership and innovation within the Banking Technology practice

People Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing technical teams, including architects, engineers, and consultants

Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence

Skills and Attributes for Success

Demonstrate deep expertise in core banking architecture, cloud platforms, and enterprise integration

Lead confidently in complex, ambiguous environments, balancing strategic and technical priorities

Ideally, Youll Also Have

Proven experience as a Technical Architect or Solution Architect in large-scale banking or financial services transformations

Deep expertise in:

Core banking platforms

Cloud architecture (Azure, AWS, GCP) and cloud migration strategies
