The Opportunity

As a Senior Consultant within our Banking Technology practice, we are seeking a highly motivated Python Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Python applications, with a particular focus on data processing, analytics, and automation solutions.

This role will support data-driven initiatives through the development of efficient data pipelines, business solutions, and reporting capabilities while collaborating closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams.

Your Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain Python applications and data solutions.

Build and optimize data processing workflows using Python and Pandas.

Develop ETL/ELT processes to collect, transform, and load data from multiple sources.

Analyze large datasets and deliver actionable insights.

Create reusable, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and deliver solutions.

Troubleshoot and resolve application and data-related issues.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Develop technical documentation and knowledge-sharing materials.

Prepare deliverables including documentation, reports, and client presentations

Skills and Attributes for Success

Experience in lending domain (retail, commercial, or corporate lending)

Strong understanding of lending lifecycle: origination, credit assessment, underwriting, servicing

Familiarity with loan platforms and banking systems

Understanding of system integration, APIs, and data flows

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

What We Look For

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

3+ years of professional experience in Python development.

Strong proficiency in:

Python

Pandas

SQL

Data manipulation and transformation

Ideally, Youll Also Have

Experience with:

NumPy

Polars

PySpark

Scikit-learn

FastAPI or Flask

Azure Data Factory

Azure Databricks

Microsoft Azure

Power BI

Knowledge of cloud-based data architectures.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Familiarity with Docker and containerized applications.

Experience working in Agile environments.

Understanding of data governance and data quality principles.

Previous experience in financial services, banking, or lending environments is considered a strong asset.

Familiarity with banking data, financial products, risk, credit, or regulatory reporting processes is a plus.
